PHILOSOPHY

The aim of HYA's K2 PLUS Lacrosse clinic is to teach and advance the basics of lacrosse in a fun, low pressure atmosphere for the players, parents and coaches. This is a non-competitive grassroots program.

Our goal is to promote team play, individual skill development, sportsmanship, and love for the sport. The clinic provides fundamental skill building for those new to the sport and those interested in furthering their knowledge of the game.

COACHING

The success of our K2 PLUS clinic is dependent upon volunteers.  No experience is needed, as we will provide you with all the tools necessary to help guide our young players. This year we are fortunate enough to have Winnacunnet High School Varsity and Junior Varsity coaching staff leading our clinics with assistance from their players. Parent Coaches will assist these designated Clinic Leaders this season. Prospective coaches, existing coaches and interested parents will learn directly from WHS coaches, including player demonstrations.  Above all else, ENTHUSIASM is all a good coach needs to be productive. If interested, please indicate during online registration. We highly value our coaches and are grateful each year for their time and dedication.  Thank you in advance!

FAMILY DISCOUNT

Families with 3 or more players participating are discounted 20%. In order for the registration system to recognize multiple players registering from a single family, try to register all of your players at one time. On the Review Page, there is a link near the bottom to “Register Another Player” - please click on this link to ensure that all your family’s players are registered within the same order.

PARENT/GUARDIAN RESPONSIBILITIES

All players will require a designated adult to be present during practice.  THANK YOU!

In the event that a player might become unruly, disruptive or is having a bad day, we encourage parents to mind their child’s behavior and step in to remove their child (for however long?) when seen fit. Coaches are not babysitters, and, though attentive to individual needs, they must think of the group as a whole. The coach's responsibility lies in attending to those players who are engaged and cooperative in mindset.
