COACHING RESPONSIBILITIES

Volunteerism is not an excuse for a lack of professionalism

  • Perform mandatory Background Check, Abuse Prevention Systems and Concussion training.

  • Uphold HYA Code of Conduct policy.

  • Attend pre-season coaches clinic.

  • Manage team equipment for the season.

  • Provide roster/full schedule to parents/players.

  • Communicate that all players required to wear proper equipment. Cleats, water bottles recommended.

    • Recommend all player equipment be labeled with name.

  • Be aware of HYA Concussion Protocol/Policy.

  • Communicate any cancellations (weather, etc...) to players.

  • Communicate that uniforms will be handed out at the first practice.

  • Be cognizant of medical issues/food allergies (if doing snacks) concerning players on your team.

  • No HYA Coach should be paying out of their own pocket for items - within financial reason - that they feel are necessary to make them a better coach. Please reach out to your sports Commissioner when considering a purchase.

Managing RSVPs

Manage RSVPs for each athlete within your team’s TeamCenter or within the SportsEngine mobile app

Sending RSVPs for Existing Games or Events
